St. Paddy’s day is just next month y’all! If you’re celebrating, you might want to get a pair of luck-filled St. Patrick’s Day nails for more blessings this year!

Also known as the Feast of St. Patrick, St. Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious festival that marks the traditional death day of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
It is celebrated on March 17 and it is a day to commemorate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This Day is packed with parades, lucky charms, shamrocks (three leafed clovers) and all things green!
Why shamrocks? And why the color green?
A shamrock is one of the attributes of St. Patrick’s day because according to legend, the saint used a three leaf clover (also called shamrock) as part of his teachings. Shamrocks can also grow a fourth leaf – turning it into a four leaf clover which is considered good luck.
To answer the next question – green, because Ireland is a green island filled with leafy trees and grassy hills which is why it’s sometimes called the Emerald Isle. Green was introduced to St. Patrick’s Day festivities when the shamrock or three leafed clover became a national symbol of Ireland. Because of the popularity of the green leafed clover and the beautiful green landscape of Ireland, the colour is widely displayed as the ruling color of the festival day.
Another reason why green is used is because it’s the color that mythical fairies called leprechauns like to dress in today. Also folklore has it that wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns, which like to pinch anyone they can see!
Green is also just associated with good luck – so everyone will be having green on them in some way! For example, you can wear green nails in honour of St. Patrick’s Day!
St. Patrick’s nails also show case a rainbow and a pot of gold at the end of it because leprechauns guard a pot of gold coins at the end of each rainbow! What a fun festival – it truly is lovely to celebrate it with a set of pretty nails that symbolise this day!
Okay, enough with the history lesson! Here’s a gallery of 35+ St. Patrick’s Day nails to get inspired from!
